Princess Rooms

Want to make your princess feel extra special on this Disney trip? Booking one of the Princess Rooms will make her feel like a real Princess.

Moderate Resorts at Disney World – Plenty for the Price

As you read through all of the descriptions of the Disney World Moderate Resorts, you see how different they are from the Disney Value Resorts. Not only do you get a Pool, but each of the Moderate Resorts also comes with additional fun like a Water Slide and/or Kiddie Splash Park. There is a lot to say about staying at one of the Value Resorts especially if you are on a tighter budget, but you definitely get a little more by moving up. The Imagineers really stepped up their game when designing these more elaborate places to stay. You will not see 35-foot plastic characters on any of these sites. Instead, you will see more progressive artwork and elaborate themed structures to make each place come to life. This is the start of where you really feel like Disney is taking you on your own personal adventure along the way.

Transportation

Some of the Disney World Moderate Resorts only offer Bus transportation but the Port Orleans Riverside, Port Orleans French Quarter and the Cabins at Fort Wilderness also provide Water Taxi service. The Water Taxi service gives you a different perspective of Disney World from the water and because not everyone has access to them, you also feel special when taking a trip on these water passages. In order to have water taxi service, you have to be staying on one of the Disney World Moderate Resorts or Disney World Deluxe Resorts that support this type of transportation. Since there are no lakes around the Value Resorts, you certainly will not be able to walk to a dock and grab one there. Still, most people opt for grabbing one of the Buses, I think just to keep feet on solid ground. Whichever one you are interested in, you have the option. It is completely up to you.

Rooms, Suites and Cabins

That is right, in the list of Moderate Resorts, you have one place that you can even enjoy staying in your very own cabin. At the Cabins at Fort Wilderness, you can pitch a tent, park your RV or rent a cabin that sleeps up to 6. Some might think this is roughing it but as comfortable as it is, I would hardly call it that. All of the others will offer standard rooms except for Coronado Springs which also has Suites for some extra space and the Port Orleans Riverside that offers the Princess Rooms.

Extras at the Disney Moderate Resorts

Moving up to the Disney Moderate Resorts, also gain a lot in the availability of things to do. If you love outdoor activities and you think that you will have the time, over and above the Theme Parks, Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground has to be at the top of the list. All of these places have plenty to do so take a more detailed look and see which one works best for you.
