The Adventure begins May 24, 2013
Seaworld is opening a new adventure for their guests this Spring, May 24, 2013 to be exact, and it is going to be an adventure like nothing you have ever seen. Welcome to “Antarctica – Empire of the Penguin” where you will be transported through the making of a new story developed to take you on a trip through the world of the Penguins. We don’t know much about the story at this time but we do know that you will be joining the main, young Penguin star “Puck” on this wonderful ride.
What kind of ride will this be?
Based on what is known so far, you will be going through this experience in a vehicle similar to what they have in the Spiderman ride at Universal Islands of Adventure. There is a pretty big difference though. If you have ever been on the Spiderman ride, you know that the ride vehicle is designed to keep you looking straight forward because of its high sides and back. That is not the case with the new vehicle that you get to ride in at the Antarctica attraction. This vehicle has low sides and 4 seats across in the front and the back allowing all 8 passengers to have a full 360 degree view of the surroundings around them. SeaWorld is hoping that this largest expansion in the history of the park will be one that brings everyone into the wonderful world of penguins and gives you an experience that helps you understand the frigid, exciting world that only the penguins know.
As you go through this ride, you will notice that you are in the middle of an elaborate story that takes you through the childhood lessons of a small penguin, Puck. Puck is a special penguin, designed to relate to children as they go through their own experiences. It sounds like it is going to be a fantastic time for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Seaworld has launched a new Official iPhone and Android App that allows you to get more involved with the Antarctica Experience. Watch the trailer to get a better idea of what the attraction will look like when it launches this spring. Take pictures as an Arctic Explorer and post them to Facebook or Twitter. Get additional fun facts about Antarctica and the Penguins. After spending some time on the App you will want to visit the attraction.
