Free Wildlife Exhibit
If you are looking for a fun adventure but also want something a little more exciting and Wild, take the family down to Black Hammock Adventures in Ovideo Florida. This adventure is only 20 miles North East of the Central Orlando Florida area on the borders of Lake Jessup and only takes about 30 minutes even through traffic. Your Free adventure takes you to the part of the Exhibit that shows you the 12 foot alligator, “Hammy”. There are also some other great animals that you will see like beautiful Mccaws and a large Ball Python. Understand going in, that they are giving you these free glimpses into the Wildlife Exhibit hoping to entice you into spending a little money to venture into the rest of the activities that they offer. What will I see if I spend a little money
You know how it is, you go to an attraction because they mention the word Free, you are all excited and find that although they do have a free exhibit, there is so much more that you would like to see while you are there. This is vacation after all and you probably don’t get the opportunity to see these types of creatures where you live, so you might want to consider looking at what they have to offer.
Airboat Rides
If you haven’t been on an airboat ride before, this is a great opportunity. There are multiple Airboat tours and they range from a 30 to 60 minute ride up to your own Private Tour that last about 45 minutes. If you want to have the experience but not spend much money, they do offer a 15 minute Sunset Ride that you might really enjoy. Black Hammock Restaurant
If you decide to stay for awhile and maybe take in one of the airboat rides, you are bound to get hungry. Not a problem because you can take the family to the Black Hammock Restaurant and enjoy some local, down home eating. This restaurant is located right on Lake Jessup so not only do you get a good meal, you will also enjoy the views. Something to keep in mind! If you take one of the airboat rides, the ticket stub is good to get you 10% off at the restaurant.
No matter what you decide to do when you visit the Black Hammock Adventure, you will leave happy that you took the time out to visit this location in the Orlando area. Branch out and explore something off of the beaten path and you will be amazed at all that Florida has to offer.
