Disney Opening its Theme Parks overnight!

The Monsters Inc. clan are coming and it was no more apparent than the announcement that came this week from Disney’s Epcot Theme Park. As you expect, when Disney does something, they do it big and this is no exception. Disney has decided to pull out all of the stops this year during the Memorial Day weekend and Pull an all-niter. That is right, if you have ever wanted to stay at the park after closing to see if you could get through the night without getting caught, now is your chance to do it legally. Okay, maybe that takes some of the excitement out of trying but still, this has never been done and who knows if it will ever be done again. Here are the details, on May 24th at 6:00 AM, the gates of the Magic Kingdom Park will open and they will stay open until the next morning, May 25th at 6:00 AM. This is a treat that a lot of you will have a hard time resisting. Especially if you are a die-hard Disney fan and this goes for adults as well as kids. You know who you are! The park will don a “Monsters University” theme and will be show off the lovable, scary Mike and Sulley during the day parade. Other themed festivities will be going on throughout the day as well. You will have to come and see the Monstrous, spectacular event for yourself. I think you will be glad that you did.

Epcot Spaceship Earth transformed into a giant screen

What better way to advertise such an event than to have the stars of Monsters University announce it. How do you make such a thing happen and what is the big deal. Well the amazing thing about this announcement is that Disney took the giant sphere in Epcot and turned it into a giant screen projecting a short film with non other than Mike Wazowski. In a spectacular feat of innovation and technological wizardry, Disney used 8 projectors directed at the Spaceship Earth and projected a flawless film to display the characters that you love the most out of the “Monsters, Inc.” Film. This event is deemed the “Monstrous Summer” and will be something that will be talked about for years to come.
