Is there anything in Orlando that is FREE?

Free! Are you sure? We are in Orlando you know.

I wanted to start a new section to the blog area to show that there are a number of “FREE” things to do in the Orlando area as well as spend a large amount of money at all of the main attractions. Trust me, I understand what it means to look for something inexpensive to do when going on vacation. When you are visiting a large tourist area like Orlando, it can be a very difficult thing to find. The kids are looking for the biggest and best things to do, so they can go back to school and brag to their friends about the best vacation they ever had. Over the next few weeks, keep an eye out for additions to the blog section of the site that discuss many of the free areas that can add enjoyment and really spice up your Orlando Florida Vacation.

Great when they are young

You just got married and you have had your first child and they are getting old enough to enjoy visiting Orlando but you know that they won’t remember anything from the trip. This is a great time to take them to some of the Free attractions that will allow them to see the Disney sights but will keep you from adding expenses to your credit card that you really can’t afford anyway. You will have the opportunity to take plenty of pictures for them to look back on a great experience but you don’t have to go to all of the Theme Park Expense. Well, not yet anyway. As you get on your feet and the kids get a little older, you will definitely want to bring them back to enjoy all of the main attractions but at the younger age, you can put it off for awhile if you would like.

Mix and Match to save

Orlando has plenty of things to do, no matter what your budget is. You can even mix and match to attractions to save a little money along the way. Instead of purchasing 7 days at the parks, you could just go for 3 days or 4 days and fill the rest of the time with less expensive options. If you are on a tight budget, this is a great way for everyone to get what they are looking for on the big family vacation.

Resorts to save money?

When we think about staying in one of the resorts that Orlando has to offer, we think about how expensive they are but you might want to rethink how you look at them. Think about some of the resorts in the area that offer a Water Park or a number of Water Features like Water Slides, Lazy Rivers, Kiddie Splash Parks and Hot Tubs. If you look at the overall expense of staying at a resort that has these amenities, it may look daunting at first but compare that to what you will save by trimming time off of staying at any of the main attractions. If you put it down on paper, you will see, that this can be a great way to save money while going to a big Tourist area like Orlando. If the water amenities are first class, you will find that the entire family will want to spend more time at the resort and not necessarily want to venture off (all of the time) to other attractions that would be much more costly. Something to think about.
