Velvet Sessions Welcomes Little River Band

I remember listening to the Little River Band while I was growing up. They had this smooth, mellow sound but also got you in the mood to get your groove on. Oh Yeah! If you have not heard of the Velvet Sessions at the Hard Rock, it is a very intimate way of getting close to some of the most iconic bands and artists of our time. Let’s take a look back at who has been playing in just the past few months. In March, we had the great opportunity to see and hear Taylor Dayne, in April we had a great time listening to Carl Dixon of The Guess Who and in May we saw The Fixx. Now it is time to get prepared for The Little River Band. Even if you don’t think you know who they are, you will definitely know them by the music that they play.

When will LRB perform?

The Band will be performing in just a few weeks on June 27th, 2013.

Tell me a little about the Band

You will probably be surprised at how many songs you know. The Little River Band Started in Australia back in the mid 1970’s and became pretty famous here in the States in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Some of the biggest hits they had during this time are:

  • Lonesome Loser
  • We Two
