Spook Hill – Gravity Hill?
If you are looking for something close by that will amaze everyone in your family, including you, you need to take the short dirve to Lake Wales, Florida and see the strange Phenomenon they have aptly called Spook Hill. It’s not that it is actually spooky, it is just something that you can’t find many places and it can be pretty hard to explain. If you have kids, they will be shocked when you stop your car at the bottom of the hill, put it in neutral, and it starts moving, up hill, all by itself. So many people visit this location, the town has created a nice sign about, “The Legend” and they have also painted a line on the road for you to pull your car up and get it going.
What exactly is “The Legend”

There are many people that call these types of hills “Magnetic Hills” but they are not only capable of moving a metal object up the hill. If you were to place any round object, like a ball or an grapefruit, at the bottom of the hill, you will notice that it rolls up the hill as well. Some people think that it has something to do with the phase of the moon and feel that it has a stronger pull as the full moon takes shape. Any way you look at it, it is a very cool thing to visit. An additional Note: Some people say it works and others have not had it work for them. If you watch the video, you will see that people expect to roll up the hill in front of them but they actually roll backwards up the hill. This is exactly what the sign says to do but some people do not seem to read this before trying it
