New Exciting Ride Transformers 3D on Target for Summer 2013

We have known for quite some time that the new Transformers 3D ride at Universal Studios in Orlando was coming soon and not too long ago, we shared with you that the Transformer Store opened early to drum up excitement for the ride. Although Transformers: The Ride installation in Orlando is not the first one of its kind, there are updates to this ride that the other Universal Parks do not have because technology continues to change. One of these upgrade has to do with better screens and projectors to give the ride a more vibrant view as you go through the ride. Small things like this can really enhance any ride and although the West coast had it first, Orlando’s will be a better, enhanced version.

So what is it going to be like?

Since it is a new ride at Universal Orlando, you will notice that they are going to extend the lines out into the main walkway to accommodate all of the visitors that will be excited about going on this ride for the first time. After some time passes, they will remove the additional length to the line but Universal wants to keep things as organized as they can when Transformers 3D releases. The ride itself is going to be about 4 minutes long and the queue is set to take about 25 minutes to walk through. The first time walking through shouldn’t be to bad because you will want to take in all of the design work and story line. If you have been on the Spiderman 3D ride at Islands of Adventure, this ride is a similar feel but it will be a very different experience. The Spiderman ride was designed to have a more comic book animated feel where the Transformer Ride is designed to have a more realistic feel as you go through. I have been on the Spiderman ride many times and it is an amazing adventure to say the least, I am very excited to see how the more realistic 3D ride feels. It is an exciting time for the Universal Parks with all of the new additions that will be added over the next 12 to 18 months.

Additional Information

One of the really neat features of this ride is that it takes you on your adventure through 2 floors. In order to make this ride work, they needed about 60,000 square feet of space and since they did not have that much room available in this area of the park, they opted to use 30,000 square feet and stack it on 2 floors. It is said that as your car takes the elevator to the second floor that you will not even know that you are moving to another level. What an exciting idea and it will be fun just to see if you can tell. I know that this is going to be an exciting ride for everyone who visits.
