Across Hourglass Lake from the Art of Animation Resort is the Disney Pop Century Resort. While Pop Century is a Value Resort it will give you simple but clean accommodations and many Water Fun activities. Like the Art of Animation, the Pop Century Value Resort does not have any special features like a Water Slide or Lazy River. It does, however, have a huge centrally located 60’s pool in the shape of a flower with tall metal flowers on the outskirts sprinkling guests. There is also a Children’s Pool located in the same area with bubbling fountains and lounge chairs making this the perfect spot for much younger ones to enjoy. More quiet pools are located in the 1950’s area shaped like a large bowling pin and the 1990’s in the shape of an early computer. Families like the savings but kids like the fun at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. After seeing the delight on your kids face, you can see why Pop Century is one of the Best Pools at Disney World Value Resorts.
Other options
The first Disney World Value Resorts created are the All Star Movie Resort, All-Star Music and the Disney All Star Sports Resort. Disney does a great job of keeping their Resorts in tip top shape so you never have to be concerned with how old any of the Resorts are or when they were first put in to play. Many guests love the All-Star Resorts and feel that they should easily be on the list of Best Pools at Disney World Value Resorts.
Disney Transporation
While the Disney Transportation provides buses to all of the Disney Value Resorts, there is a difference in how they run depending on where you stay. If you book at the Art of Animation or the Pop Century Resort, Disney provides Buses that pickup and drop off directly to these resorts without making additional stops to other properties. On the other hand, staying at any of the All Star Resorts, the busing is a little different. Since the All Star Locations are lined up in a row, the Disney Buses make stops to each one when picking up and dropping off. This can make a difference, especially when things are busy. Not that this has anything to do with the Best Pools at a Disney World Value Resort but it is worth knowing.
