Outside of the Universal Resorts, you have a number of options that are just a few miles away. Since you will not be onsite, you will need to check with the hotel about transportation. Some have tranportation included with your stay while others will have an additional charge. Additionally, some of the hotels do not provided transportation at all to Volcano Bay. Where do you park if you stay at a Hotel offsite from Volcano Bay?
This is a great question. If you are not staying at one of the Universal Resorts, and your hotel does not provide transportation, where do you park? If you are using the Mears Taxi service or calling an Uber, they will take you directly to the front entrance of Volcano Bay. However, if you are driving your own vehicle, you will need to park in the Universal Parking area and get a Universal Shuttle to Volcano Bay. Unfortunately, Volcano Bay does not have its own parking lot.
Back to the Universal Resorts. If you want the most convenient stay, you might consider one of the Universal Resorts. Staying offsite can certainly save money and can have perks on its own. On the other hand, walking out of your room and taking a short stroll to the Volcano Bay water park is also a nice perk.
