Pros:
- Great Location: If you are going to the Universal Theme Parks during your visit to Orlando, a stay at the Wesgate Palace could be a good option. While the walk would be a little long, they do offer a shuttle you can sign up for with 1 trip to and from the parks each day. Since it is only a little more than a mile to get to the parks, calling an Uber might be a good option.
- Spacious Accommodations: All of the rooms are two-bedroom suites with a kitchen and washer and dryer. Having this option gave us great convenience during our stay.
- Amenities: While there are not as many activities at the Westgate Palace, having a warm outdoor pool, basketball and volleyball court was very nice for our family.
- Family-Friendly: Kids will enjoy the pool and there is even a shallow children's pool for the little ones.
- Shuttle Services: Shuttle service to Universal is included with your Resort Fee.
Cons:
- Timeshare: Some guests mentioned that they were pressured by sales people for a timeshare opportunity. We did not experience this but if this happens, you can always say no.
- Additional Fees: Some of the guests complained about amenities and activities not being open during their stay. Check with the front desk to find out what is available for the time you will be staying.
- Limited Dining: Drafts Bar and Grill is a small eatery and bar. It is not like the full Drafts dining experiece you will have if you go to Westgate Lake or Town Center, but it is nice to get something during the day.
- Housekeeping Services: Housekeeping does not run everyday but you can ask for extra towels and amenities as you need them.
- Shuttle Service Limited: Some like that Shuttle service is provided but others get frustrated with the limitation on times provided. Once a day in each direction could be improved.
