Pros:
- Accommodations: It was nice staying in the Villas with so much space. Our condo-style suite had a full kitchen, private laundry, and a balcony. We had a very comfortable stay.
- Location: Westgate Towers is in a great location just one mile from Disney's entrance. While they did not have transportation to the parks, being so close was nice.
- Pools: With three pools, two kids' pools, and three hot tubs, there was always water fun for the kids to enjoy.
- Transport: There is a free shuttle, the Westgate Express Train, to take you from the Westgate Towers to the Westgate Town Center.
- Recreation: Access to Shipwreck Island Water Park and other activities at Westgate Town Center was great fun for our family. There was an extra fee for some of the activities and the water park. Our family enjoyed renting the Swan Boats and pedaling around the water.
- Amenities: On-site facilities include a business center, fitness center, and an arcade. There was a beautifully landscaped garden we found near the front building.
Cons:
- Shuttle Service: There is no shuttle service to the Disney Theme Parks but there is a free shuttle to take you from the Westgate Towers to the Town Center.
- Dining: Some guests complained that there was not an on-site restaurant at the Westgate Towers. However, if you take the free transportation, or drive over to the Westgate Town Center, there are multiple restaurants, including a beautiful Mexican and Italian dining experience worth trying.
- Noise: Some guests have found that the family-friendly nature of the resort means there can be some noise at times. If noise is an issue, you might ask for a room away from one of the pool areas to cut down on the sound during your stay. There are also a few mentions of the walls being paper thin and the noise could be heard from other rooms.
