The Pools at the Margaritaville Resort in Orlando are amazing. The Fins Up Beach Pool is the largest and is broken up into two (2) sections. Each section has zero-entry access and there is a very large hot tub built into one section of this pool. Sand covers some of the areas where lounge chairs are located and blue umbrellas add a splash of color around the pool. There are plenty of cabanas to rent so be sure to sign up for one early. On the other side of the resort is a quieter pool. The Fins Up Pool also has a large bar area with a grille for a wonderful lunch or dinner by the pool. PROS

Pros:
Tropical Paradise is what you hear from most guests when reading through the reviews. What a fantastic option. The rooms are so comfortable and the views from the balcony are just superb. Sitting by the large family pool and getting a burger made for some great fun. The kids loved the sand by the pool. Island H2O water park is in the resort area and we had a blast with all of the water slides, lazy river, and wave pool. It really added a lot to the trip and was great to not have to leave the Resort to have so much fun.

CONS

Cons:
Okay, this is something that is heard a lot and you might find it very surprising. Where is the Margaritaville Restaurant? There is not a Margaritaville Restaurant and this resort and many guests are not thrilled by this. Other downsides are the additional expenses with the daily resort fee and the parking fee. Be sure to add these in to your overall expenses when booking.

True Paradise

The Margaritaville Orlando Resort is huge covering a full 300 acres of prime real estate in Florida. Right across from the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it is also in a great location and close to the fun in Orlando. You can certainly sip your Margarita’s around the many pools but also know that this is truly a “Family Resort”. The primary building is a 187 room Hotel but you also have an option of staying in one of the 1,000 vacation homes and 300 Timeshare units. Each of these is a prime place to enjoy your vacation and are designed to whisk you away from it all to this Tropical Island-like Paradise.

Great Family Getaway

More than just your typical vacation, the Margaritaville Resort in Orlando sets the bar to a whole new level. With this being said, it puts some pressure on Disney and Universal to step things up a bit. The competition will only make this one of a kind travel location better, don’t you think?
