Where else can you stay with 6 outdoor pools? There are not many resorts in Orlando that have more. Each of the Pools is spread out through the Resort at Summer Bay in Orlando making it easy to cool off whenever you want. On top of the pools, there is also a Kids Water Park with Water Slide and splash zone. For full Outdoor fun, the 64-acre lake with the white sandy beach is family fun at its best. Plenty of water fun can be had on the lake with canoe's, kayak's, jet ski's and even fishing boats to try your luck at your best catch of the day.
The Summer Bay Resort Orlando Florida is a huge property on the banks of a 64-acre, private lake and a perfect place to visit with the family. The Orlando Summer Bay Resort would not be considered "in the heart of Disney World" but that gives this family resort some of its additional charms. It is only about 4.5 miles West of the Animal Kingdom Theme Park but is far enough to "get away from it all" if that is what you are looking for. The grounds are amazing with 6 outdoor pools, kids water park and a huge assortment of water sports on the lake.

The 1 and 2 Bedroom Condos at the Summer Bay Resort in Orlando provide your family with more than just a typical hotel room. Each of these Condos delivers so much more with a private bedroom for the Parents and a separate space for the kids. Enhanced by having a fully functional kitchen with large appliances and a washer, dryer unit, each unit gives you comfortable living for the duration of your stay. The private balcony makes each morning special overlooking different location in the Summer Bay Resort.

Pros:
Considering this is a Timeshare Resort, there are some really good reviews from a high percentage of the guests who visit. Many talk about how much space they have in the Condo and that the workers are very nice and helpful. The multiple pools and children's water park is a big hit with the kids. The paddle boats are a great family option and the lake trampoline and large slide is something you don't find at many other locations. The grounds are well kept.
Cons:
As with most properties with a timeshare presentation, this seems to draw some of the bad reviews. Most of the visitors who had a bad experience with the presentation also found multiple issues with the resort, like it could be refurbished a bit and updated. When you book, ask if the condo has been updated. Some of them are not as nice as others.

Fun Things to Do
The Summer Bay Resort in Orlando Fl has many great things to do, on top of all the water fun. Up for the challenge of Shuffle Board? There are 2 courts so get the whole family involved and see who has the most control in this sport. Tennis anyone? Two Tennis Courts add exercise and fun. Slow it down a bit and head over to the Miniature Golf Course.
Resort Fees
There is not necessarily a Resort fee but you will incur a Deposit Fee to cover any damage left behind. Some of the extra amenities cost a little more as well.
Fitness Center
A Fitness Facility is at the Resort and open for all guests. Many different machines to work out as well as Free weights, you are sure to get a good workout before starting your day.
Spa Treatments
The Summer Bay Resort does not show a spa.
Dining
Casual dining can be found at the Big Kahuna’s Poolside Bar and grill serving simple items like a burger and fries. For something a with a little more pizazz, stop into Loretta’s Trattoria and get some of your favorite Italian dishes.
