Disney Animal Kingdom Kidani Village Reviews
Pros:
What an amazing adventure when you stay at the Disney Animal Kingdom Kidani Village. The Villas are large and we felt at home with African decor. The kids seemed to enjoy the evenings around the fireplace where you can get night vision goggles and watch the animals at night.
Cons:
The biggest issue guests have with the Animal Kingdom Kidani Village is how far it is from everything and how long it takes to get from place to place. Some of the guests also complained that they did not see as many animals from their balcony as they had hoped.

Vacation Villas at Disney Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village
The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most exceptional resorts in Disney World. To get the best experience of staying on this property, you will want to consider booking one of the Disney Animal Kingdon Villas Kidani Village. The Kidani Village only has Disney Vacation Club rooms in the Animal Kingdom Deluxe Resort having Deluxe Studios, 1 and 2 Bedroom Villas and even the largest room, the 3 Bedroom Grand Villa. Each of these Villas are very distinctive with African art and sculptures throughout. This is not your typical Disney Resort because you share your space with hundreds of animals roaming the Savanna outside of your windows.
When Disney decided to build the Animal Kingdom Resort, it was planned to roll out in 2 phases. The first building phase included the Jambo House or what most guests refer to as the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge. This section of the resort houses all of the Standard Rooms but also has a number of DVC 2 Bedroom Villas as well. If you are looking at booking one of the 2 Bedroom Villas at the Animal Kingdom, you get more variety by having the option of staying in the main lodge or the Kidani Village.
How to get to your Villa
Driving up to the Animal Kingdom Villas, you will pass through the Guard Shack where you will be greeted and given directions. he first building you come upon is the Jambo House or Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you have booked one of the 2 Bedroom Villas, just park in the parking lot, located directly across from it and check-in. If you have booked in the Kidani Village, keep on driving. About 1/3 of a mile around the bend you will see another covered entrance. Checking in to the Kidani Villas is a simple process.
Once you have booked your Disney Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village Villa logging into the Disney Experience App or website allows you to go through the check-in process whenever you are ready. After this is done, you will be notified when your Villa is ready and you can use your magic band or Smartphone to enter the room. If you want to go through the regular check-in process instead, the Animal Kingdom Villas have their own separate check-in location for DVC. You will be greeted at the entrance and directed inside to one of the counters where you can get your room key. This is a very seamless process and makes staying in one of the Villas at the Animal Kingdom Lodge a real joy.
Room with a View at Disney Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village?
One of the more important choices you have when Reserving your Disney Animal Kingdom Villas Kidani Village is the view. Villas at the Kidani Village at Animal Kingdom Resort have a couple of different viewing options, a standard view gives you a view of the Pool or the Parking Lot and the Savanna View is the most spectacular with views of the animals. The Savanna view is what most guests are looking for when they visit but they also cost about 10% – 15% higher than the standard view rooms (depending on the season of course).
Important Note:
If you are staying on a budget, even if you book a standard view room, you still have access to all of the views by walking around the resort. It is important to keep this in mind when booking.
Let’s take a look at the layout of the Kidani Villas:
Deluxe Studio
Deluxe Studio units are a great choice if you have a family of 4 or less and are not as concerned about the amount of space. Yes, these rooms are the smallest in the Disney Animal Kingdom Kidani Villas (about 366 sq ft) but they are also the least expensive. Configuration of the Studios are all the same no matter which view you choose. Studio Villas come with a Queen Size Bed and a double-sized sleeper sofa sharing the same room. The layout is similar to what you will find in a standard hotel room but with the added space to move around more freely. A beautiful, African style set of chairs and table, along with a dresser and flat-screen TV fill out the rest of the room. Studio Villas are equipped with a small Kitchenette with a granite counter, bar type sink, toaster, coffee maker, microwave and a mini-refrigerator. Bathrooms are stylish with a single sink in a long cabinet, large enough for 2 to get ready in front of the mirror. The toilet is located in a private area in the bath and you will also have a Tub/Shower unit. The Balcony overlooking the beauty of the resort is standard in the Studio Villas. Remember, the view might be one of the most important features you select when you book your Studio Villa.
