Accommodations at the Animal Kingdom Lodge
Nowhere else in Disney World is there a place you can stay where you can have views of an African Savanna. Having the amazing views overlooking the vast spaces for African animals to roam is one of the main reasons guest choose to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Trying to keep your costs down? The Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the Disney World Deluxe Resorts, so it is going to be on the higher cost spectrum. There are some things you can do to cut the cost though like booking a Standard Room with 2 Queen Beds. These rooms or the Queen with bunk bedrooms are the least expensive option at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Upgrading to a 1 Bedroom or 2 Bedroom Suite gives you much more space but it will definitely cost more.
Jambo House or Kidani Village
Each of the Disney World Deluxe Resorts offer standard rooms, suites or if you are a DVC (Disney Vacation Club Member), Villas. The Animal Kingdom Resort is somewhat unique in that it offers Rooms, Suites and DVC villas in Jambo House and only DVC Villas in the Kidani Village. There is a difference in the Villa layout and the views you have access to depending on the location you stay. We have put together the information you will need to help you decide, Do I stay at the Animal Kingdom Jambo House or Kidani Village? For even more information, check out the Animal Kingdom Kidani Villas and compare them to the Animal Kingdom Jambo House Villas. The extra reading is definitely worth it before booking your stay at the Animal Kingdom Resort.

Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Reviews
Pros:
Wow!, is a great word, to sum up, many of the guests' feelings about staying in the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge. African Art and hand-carved items from Africa fill spaces all around the resort. Rooms & Suites are large with great theming all around. As always, the Disney Cast members are awesome. It is fun to take the kids to see all of the animals on the grounds. There are many Cast members located around the resort to give you an education on Africa and its animal population. Our kids had the best time at the 2 pools with water slides.
Cons:
So, the entrance to the Animal Kingdom Lodge is really spectacular but know that the standard rooms and bathrooms are a little small compared to some of the other Disney World Deluxe Resorts. Some of the rooms could really use a refresh. There were also a few guests who mentioned how secluded the Animal Kingdom Resort is from the Parks. The resort is huge and getting to both pools is a pretty descent walk.
