Staying at the Disney Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is positively an encounter like no other at Disney, and even if you are not one to adventure as deep in to camping as pitching a tent or riding in with your RV, the Cabins at Disney Fort Wilderness Resort could be more than you ever envisioned. What are the Cabins at Fort Wilderness like?
Cabins at the Disney Fort Wilderness are stand-alone dwellings. There is space set between them all and plenty of room to fit a family of six (6). Parking is private to each Cabin, and there is room to park a couple of vehicles without any problem. These log-style cottages offer all of the amenities you would expect on your Disney Vacation but give the appearance that you are roughing it for your trip. Cabins at the Fort Wilderness are the same no matter which one you choose but choosing the location is the biggest difference. When you look at the Resort Map of the Fort Wilderness, you start to understand just how massive this place is. As you walk into your cabin you will find a living room with a full kitchen; a Master Bedroom with a large bed along with a second bedroom with has a large Queen bed and a set of bunk beds.

Disney Fort Wilderness Reviews
Pros:
What a great Disney World location to stay. We loved getting away from the crowds at the Fort Wilderness Resort and the Cabins have so much space, it is like having your own suite with a kitchen. Our larger family of 5 fit nicely and had no issues with space. The food is really good, be sure to book the Hoop-Dee-Doo revue if you have small kids, they will love it. The water transportation was fun to get back and forth to the Magic Kingdom. Family pool with larger water slide for the older kids and a splash park with a small water slide was the best. One of the best locations you could ever camp in my opinion. The sites are well maintained and we did not have any problems fitting our RV in the site. Hookups worked well and the bath houses are clean. There is so much to do, Archery, horseback riding, playing at the pools. The kids loved the water slides and our little ones had so much fun on the small water slides. The food was really great and we would recommend this to everyone.
Cons:
For the most part the stay was great but the only park you can get to with the Water Taxi is the Magic Kingdom. The buses take a little extra time to get around this huge resort to get you to all of the other parks. We did not realize how big this place is. Next time we will bring bikes. I would recommend getting a golf cart to get around just know that there is an additional fee for getting one. Be sure that you love nature when you stay at the Fort Wilderness because that is what this resort is all about.Although we enjoyed our stay it would be great if there were more laundry facilities at the Disney Fort Wilderness Campground. Having large capacity washers and dryers would also help. Walking around this huge Resort can get tiring. Next time we will definitely bring our bikes or rent a golf cart. The Golf Carts were sold out when we tried to get one. This was frustrating but we can not blame Fort Wilderness for this. We will have this reserved in advance next time we visit.
