Universal Volcano Bay Drop Slide

Anxiously, you walk into the Krakatau Volcano, up the flight of stairs to a height of 125′ to the Kala & Tai Nui Volcano Bay Drop Slide. Each of these Body Slides offers a real thrill. As the rider enters the starting chamber, the clear door is shut behind you. You are told to cross your feet and your arms while you stand on a trap door, waiting, and not knowing when the bottom is going to drop out.

While the Kala & Tai Nui water slides are both drop slides, they only allow one rider in each chamber. Additional fun is had if you have a partner with you because the trap doors will be released at the same time on the Kala & Tai Nui slides. As you race through the enclosed tube to the bottom splash-down area, see who gets to the bottom first. Kala is the Blue Slide and Tai Nui is the Green Slide. Both give you a thrill but Kala (the blue slide) is said to be slightly gentler than Tai Nui. Either way, once you are dropped down the tube, the speed of a drop slide is unlike anything else in the park.

Something to brag about

Bragging Rights! Yes, that is why many will take the drop on the Kala & Tai Nui water slides at Volcano Bay Water Park. Still, there are those who really love the thrill and will take on the challenge multiple times. Once you have taken on these serpentine water slides, the real challenge will be the straight down drop that you get at the Ko’okiri Body Plunge.
