Things to do at the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Recreation
One of the most obvious things to do, and maybe the most exciting when visiting the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge, is walk around the property and look at all of the animals roaming freely on the savanna. There are over 30 species of animals walking around the lush, African grounds at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is true, having access to these exquisite animals is quite a sight for all ages and provides you many opportunities to experience this with your kids. While the Animal Kingdom Resort is known for the many Animals they have, there is so much more Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge Recreation available. Let’s take a closer look to see all of the things there are to do at Disney’s Animal Lodge.
Did you know?
Disney cast members, many native to Africa are stationed around the Animal Kingdom Lodge to talk to you about their land and the many animals you will be seeing. This is fun and can be very educational as you share this time with your kids and learn about the world and how it works, together.

Fitness Center
Whether you are staying in Jambo House or the Kidani Village, a fitness center is available at both locations. The fitness center at the Jambo House is much larger but the Kidani Village fitness center has all of the essential workout machines you would need as well.
Movies Under the Stars
A great way to finish off your day is to head over to the Uzima Pool and catch a family Disney Movie under the Stars.
Simba's Cubhouse
The Animal Kingdom Lodge is full of fun things to do for the kids. Looking for some alone time? Simba's Cubhouse might fit the bill, just drop you kids off, ages 3 to 12 and know they are in a safe environment. Each night your child can play, dine, and even catch a movie with Disney Cast members who care about the well being of your children. This is offered with an additional cost of course, but it can give you that one romantic night alone if you so choose. Not only that, but your child might not want to leave when you come to pick them up because of all the fun they have had.
Jogging Trails
The Animal Kingdom Lodge has two (2) fitness facilities, one at the Jambo House (the larger one) and the other is at the Kidani Village. To see the beauty of the Resort and still get your exercise, there are 2 jogging trails to take you around the entire grounds. One leads you around the Uzima Pool area and the other is used as a connector between the Jambo House and the Kidani Village. Even if you are not a runner, the beauty you see around you is worth taking a leisurely stroll on both of these paths.
