Shuttle Service at the Disney Art of Animation Resort
What a great feeling? Don’t you feel like you are special, each time you walk out to the front of Animation Hall at the Art of Animation at Disney World? No getting in your car and trying to find your way around, no calling for an Uber or Taxi unless you need to go somewhere outside of Disney World. Hold on, do people actually leave Disney World when they visit?
Disney Monorail
The Monorail is so much fun to take to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, unfortunately, you do not have direct access to this iconic transportation from the Art of Animation Resort. To gain direct access, check out some of the Disney Resorts offering Monorail Transportation. All of these are Disney Deluxe Resorts so be prepared to spend a premium when staying at one.

All of your “Disney Transportation” is taken care of when you stay at the Art of Animation Resort but what do you do if you want to go somewhere outside of Disney World? There are so many things to go see when you are in Orlando like Universal Orlando, SeaWorld or Aquatica. If you have a car, that is an option but if not, Orlando has some simple ways to get around such as calling an UBER or the local Mears Taxi Service. How does the Disney Shuttle work from Art of Animation Resort?
The Transportation at Disney World starts running 1 hour before the theme parks open and continue until 2 hours after the parks close. A line of buses will pick up in front of Animation Hall with lines for each of the different Disney Parks and Disney Springs.
What about transportation to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure?
Wow, Disney World is fun and great for all ages but if you have older kids, they might be very interested in visiting Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and City Walk. The Harry Potter World is incredible and worth the trip but how do you get there. Disney does not have transportation to get you to their competition. The best option would be to schedule a Mears Taxi or setup Uber. The Universal Orlando dropoff is about 12 miles away and takes about 20 minutes in normal traffic.
How do I get to SeaWorld and Aquatica?
Learn about your aquatic friends under the sea. SeaWorld is also a great adventure and the Water Park is a lot of fun. If this is something you are interested in, contact Mears Taxi Service or get an Uber.
How far away is MCO Airport? Is there a free shuttle from the Airport?
The Disney Magical Express is a free service from Disney World that can be scheduled in advance to come get you at the Orlando International Airport and take you and your baggage to the Art of Animation Resort. The MCO Airport is 20.9 miles away and takes about 30 minutes to travel to the Disney Art of Animation. The Disney Magical Express can bet reserved when you book with Disney or you can contact the Disney reservation line to set this service up. In the US call 407.939.1936 or in the UK call 0800.16.90.730 and get your Magical Express ready for your pickup.
