Disney World Resorts Close to Disney Springs
Most people looking for Disney Hotels near Disney Springs are probably looking for those select few Disney Resorts having a direct connection where you can walk or take the water taxi over to the fun and excitement. That is right, no matter where you stay, you can make a shuttle directly to Disney Springs and join in all of the shopping, dining and fun activities available in this fantastic area.
Disney World Hotels within walking distance to Disney Springs
There are only two (2) Disney Resorts within walking distance to Disney Springs, Saratoga Springs Resort which is right across the lake and Old Key West. Both of these resorts are wonderful, as most of the Disney Hotels are.
You can’t get much closer to Disney Springs than right across the water. When you stay at Saratoga Springs Resort you can walk to the west side or east side depending on where you are staying. The water taxi runs constantly through the day so hop aboard and take a ride, the kids will love it. Family fun is enjoyed with a 1 or 2 bedroom villa complete with full Kitchen or stay in a very unique Treehouse Villa. Kids will have a blast too with two family pools and two (2) large water slides.
Disney’s Saratoga Springs is not the only Deluxe Resort close enough to Disney Springs to walk though, Old Key West Resort is a little further away but is within walking distance and also has water taxi service.
A little farther away but having a magical Key West vibe is Disney’s Old Key West Resort. Palette of beautiful island colors drape over the buildings, giving you that feel of being near the Caribbean. The walk to Disney Springs is a little longer but at the eastern most point of the resort, you will travel just under a mile by foot to get ther. The water taxi is a better option for many guests, especially after a day of walking through the parks. Larger families will find the 3 Bedroom Villas holding up to 12 guests a very good option. Spending a day at the Pool with the long Sand Castle Water Slide will surely make each person smile with glee as they splash in to the water.
Disney Hotels with Water Taxi to Disney Springs
You have already seen that the Old Key West and Saratoga Springs Resort have water transportation and the ability to walk to Disney Springs but a couple other Disney Hotels are near enough to Disney Springs to hop on the Water Taxi and venture to the excitement. On top of that, these two (2) properties are considered sisters, meaning that the amenities are shared between them. It is like finding that bargain 2 for 1 item in the store. Okay, enough already, the additional Disney Resorts are the Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside Resort.
Whimsical and fun, the Port Orleans French Quarter gives you the feel of walking down the center of New Orleans with all of the beautiful gardens and magnificant displays. The French Quarter is the closer of the two (2) resorts to Disney Springs but shares the Water Shuttle with Riverside Resort. The shuttle continuously runs between the two properties and also to Disney Springs. The trip takes about 20 – 30 minutes depening on where you get on. The French Quarter appeals more to the younger families with the main pool having a serpent tongue for a water slide and a fun kids splash park.
Port Orleans Riverside Resort is at the upper-west side of the two (2) properties. The water taxi travels between the Port Orleans resorts ferrying guests back and forth and also will take the 30 minute, or so, water ride to Disney Springs. The Riverside has more stately mansions but also has a 3.5 acre watering hole with large water slide. So much fun for everyone in the family to enjoy.
