Tropical Paradise at Disney Caribbean Beach Resort
Surround yourself with color and vibrant landscapes at the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort. Relaxation begins as you walk out of the lobby and escape into the island life with Calypso music and the island breeze in the air. Disney cast members are dressed in tropical attire and each person wearing island style hat. Cast members stand out from everyone else, so it is easy to find one to talk to if needed. The Caribbean Resort is one of the Moderate Resorts in Disney World located on Barefoot Bay Lake making it feel much more like an island resort. The beaches around the lake are pristine and calling for you to sink your toes in and relax.
Rooms at the Caribbean Beach Resort
All of the rooms at the Disney Caribbean Resort are very comfortable and spacious having 314 square feet to move around. Choices include a room with two (2) queen beds, a single king bed or a two (2) queen room with an additional fold down bed that is a bit smaller than a twin. The mini-hide-a-bed is impressive in design as it looks like a bench until you pull it down where it opens to an amazing artwork behind the bedding. Accommodations are spread out across five (5) different Caribbean Islands, with different themes in each; Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad & Aruba. Private pool areas are located in each of the separately themed areas as well. A few of the Disney World Resorts offer special themed Rooms, and the Caribbean Beach Resort is one of these resorts having a Pirate Themed Room. Perfect for your young pirate to sleep in a pirate ship of there own. This is a great experience for any child so be sure to check out the fun adventure. So, your little girl is more of a princess than a pirate? That is okay, you might consider the Disney World Princess Rooms at the Disney Port Orleans Riverside Resort.

Disney Caribbean Beach Resort Reviews
Pros:
We loved the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort because felt like we were on an island with all of the Calypso Music and colorful buildings. The food was really good at Sebastian's Bistro and there were ample choices for our kids at the Centertown Market. Wow, that about sums up how my kids felt at the Fuentes del Morro Pool with Water Slide and splash park. They did not want to leave. Our room was large enough for the four (4) of us and the beds are wonderful. Maybe the most comfortable place we have ever stayed.
Cons:
Yes, the theme of the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort is very nice but one of the positives is also a negative in my opinion, this place is huge. I don't mean just big, but massive. If you get a preferred room that puts you close to Old Port Royale, this might be as big of an issue but we had a long walk to get food every day. The other problem we found was the wait for the Disney buses. Although the Caribbean Resort is a Disney Moderate Resort, the only transportation they offer is the Bus service. Yes, Disney has great Shuttle Service but with 6 bus stops, it takes a while to get where you need to go so just keep this in mind.

Things to do

White Sand Beaches add that island feel and is seen at multiple locations around the 45 acres Barefoot Bay Lake. Over 200 acres of pristine island life with lush tropical plants and swaying palm trees await for your family at the Caribbean Beach Disney Resort. But this is just the beginning, be sure to join in on the fun at Movies under the stars, a Pirate adventure cruise, fishing, bike rentals, beach volleyball, and the list just goes on. With all of the fun available at the Disney Caribbean Beach Resort, you should probably plan on a full day to enjoy everything they have to offer.
