Universal Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites
Get ready for the exciting adventure where the sun is always setting over the water at the Universal Endless Summer Resort Dockside Inn and Suites. Of the two hotels that make up Universal’s Sunset Resort, the Dockside Inn and Suites is the larger of the two. For a surf-style stay, you can also check out the Surfside Inn and Suites.
A Universal Orlando Value Property
The Endless Summer Dockside Inn is one of the Value hotels at Universal Studios. While “Value” is the category of Resort you are staying in, you will see that you get a lot when you stay at this Resort. Sure, the price is quite a bit lower than the other Universal Resorts but it is pretty amazing what you get for this lower price. The Dockside Inn and Suites gives you the option of staying in a 2 bedroom suite that sleeps up to 6 guests. Two pools are also on the property and they are both very large and can accommodate the guests staying in this large resort complex.
Location of the Dockside Inn
The Dockside Inn and Suites, as well as the Surfside Inn and Suites are close to Universal but are on the opposite side of Interstate 4. Still, if you would like to walk to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, it is an option. The walk is about 1.2 miles, so keep this in mind as you will be walking a lot while in the parks. The Dockside Inn and Suites have full access to the Universal Orlando Transporation system which might be the better option to save you all of these extra steps.
What are the rooms like at the Dockside Inn?
There are basically two (2) options when booking your room at the Dockside Inn and Suites. The most economical choice is the Standard Room. The standard room is similar to a regular hotel room with two (2) queen beds, a flat-screen TV, a small refrigerator, and a split bathroom. This room can accommodate up to 4 guests. For a little more the two (2) bedroom suite is a really great deal. The 2-Bedroom Suite can sleep up to 6 guests, has a small kitchenette (wet bar) and a picnic table for dining. The Suite is nice for the adults to get a break and have some privacy in their own room after a full day in the parks.

Dockside Inn and Suites Reviews
Pros:
A high percentage of guests enjoyed their stay at the Value Resort Dockside Inn and Suites. The rooms are said to be very clean and have a wonderful beach type of vibe. Having a 2-Bedroom Suite option is worth the extra just to have some great private time after a day at the parks with the kids. Also, having the kitchenette with a picnic table in the suite is really fun. The pools are amazing. Kids played in the bubbling fountains for a while. White sand between your toes feels great in the Florida sun. Transporation to the parks was efficient and a nice perk.
Cons:
The rooms are definitely spacious and nice. There are a few times that guests mentioned that the room they were in was a bit noisy and felt that the walls were not as soundproof as they should be. The Dockside Inn and Suites Resort is huge and you will be walking a lot to get to places. This might be a negative aspect after you have been walking around the parks all day.
