The Surfside Inn side offers a large Surfboard-shaped pool with zero-entry access on one end and steps leading into the pool from the other. The entire pool is only three and a half (3.5) feet deep at all points once you get to the deepest part entering from the zero-entry. The large area around the pool offers plenty of seating for you to enjoy time in the sun or just be outside under an umbrella. If you would like to sit at the edge of the pool, a seating ledge is built around the entire pool to allow shallow water seating. At the far end of the pool, you can take in the beautiful views of the lake. The Sand Bar is located beside the pool for you to get your favorite adult beverage. Behind the bar area, you will also find Coke refill stations to refill your souvenir cups.
Universal Endless Summer Resort - Surfside Inn and Suites
Time to sit back and relax taking in the Surf lifestyle at the Universal Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn and Suites. Once you walk on to the grounds of the Surfside Inn and Suites, you will wish you did have an endless summer of time here. The Endless Summer Surfside Inn is one of the Value properties at Universal Studios but don't let the term "Value" throw you. The price for staying here might be the lowest of any Universal Hotel however, the option of staying in a 2 bedroom suite for a low price makes it one to consider. The large pool area is a great place to splash and play for the entire family. Included in your stay, you also get transportation to the Universal Theme Parks and Water Park. It's tough to beat such a great price with the free transportation.
Location of the Surfside Inn
The Surfside Inn and Suites as well as the Dockside Inn and Suites are close to Universal but there is not a way to walk to the parks like the other Universal properties. Located on the other side of Interstate-4, you will need to hop on the provided transportation to get to the Theme Parks and Water Park. Many guests feel that for the savings they get, it is not really an inconvenience to not be able to walk to the parks.
What are the rooms like?
Again, just take the word value out of the equation when you are talking about the rooms at the Surfside Inn and Suites. You have a couple of options, the Standard Room, and the 2-Bedroom Suites. Each of the room styles is laid out with very clean lines and also has a surfer theme throughout. The standard room offers 2 queen beds, a dresser, desk mini-refrigerator, and microwave. If you have a family, the 2-bedroom suite gives you much more space and some great privacy for the adults. In one space you have 2 queen beds, a picnic table, and a wet bar type of space. In the private bedroom, there is another queen bed for you to have your own space after a full day at the parks with the kids. Each of the rooms have a large flat-screen tv to provide plenty of entertainment as you wind down your day.

Surfside Inn and Suites Reviews
Pros:
Most of the guests at the Surfside Inn and Suites really like the clean, spacious, and bright rooms. Those staying in the 2-bedroom suites were pleasantly surprised at the amount of space for what they were paying. The food is pretty good and is only counter service. The pool is large and the kids had a good time. Transportation is one of the best reasons to stay at a Universal property if you are going to the parks.
Cons:
When you are staying at such a large resort, you will get reviews on all ends of the spectrum. While the majority are positive, there are a few that felt that the pool sometimes got overcrowded and although large not quite large enough for the 700 rooms at the hotel. Also, there was mention that even though the rooms were really nice, there could be more storage spaces in both types of rooms.

Transportation to the Universal Theme Parks
Getting to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and the Volcano Bay Water Park are essential reasons to stay at one of the Universal Resorts. A stay at the Value Resort, Surfside Inn, and Suites, like all of the other Universal Hotels, provides free transportation to these Universal Hot Spots. Hop on the Shuttle Bus located at the left side from the main entrance and it will take you to the drop-off spot at City Walk which connects you to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. You also have a Shuttle Service to the Volcano Bay water park from the same location.
These Shuttle Buses run continuously starting an hour before Early Park Admission until 2 AM each and every day. Buses come frequently to pick up guests at the Surfside Inn and Suites. Typically staying on a 10 – 15 minute schedule.
A Quick Fact…
Watching videos on Universal Orlando you might see guests being dropped off at Universal Studios on a Water Taxi. Universal does operate a water taxi and it connects to many of their Resorts. There is not a waterway that connects the Surfside Inn & Suites to any of the Universal Theme Parks so the Water Taxi is not an option when you stay here.
Pets

Dining
Dining at the Surfside Inn & Suites in Universal is done at the Beach Break Cafe. This large, counter service dining is set up like a food court with many different options at the various stations. Burgers, Salads, Pizza, and much more is available each day and serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Most of the options on the menu are pretty affordable and many of the guests agree that the food is pretty good for the price you will pay. Oh, and since you are walking through a food court-style dining, you save additional money by not having a tip to pay.
