Oh, the beauty of the Tropical South Pacific is tough to beat so start your own special adventure when you stay at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando. If you are looking for a more laid-back visit to a resort that makes you feel as if you are visiting one of the islands, you might have just found the perfect place to stay. Throw in the fact that this is the least expensive of the three Universal Resorts where you also get free fast passes to the Universal Theme Parks and early admission, and it makes this resort an excellent choice for those looking to stay on Universal Property during their visit.

How close is Royal Pacific Resort to the Universal Theme Parks?

Distance from Theme Parks is another thing to consider when staying at one of the Universal Themed Resorts. If you have small children in strollers, it can be difficult packing them in the car or even taking the Water Taxi system back and forth. The Royal Pacific Resort is the closest property to the Universal Theme Parks which makes it a perfect location if you want to take a few minutes to walk the beautiful, scenic path along the canal route over to the parks. Considering that this walk only takes about 10 minutes, after you have made the trip, you will probably find that this is your most comfortable mode of transportation to and from the resort.

Loews Royal Pacific Resort Reviews

 PROS

Pros:
A resounding high number of guests love the Royal Pacific Resort when you read through the reviews. The grounds really do make you feel as if you are at a Tropical Island in the South Pacific. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff is trained well to take care of you. Having the Express Pass tickets by staying at one of the Premier Resorts is a great reason to stay. Kids loved the pool and the splash area. Be sure to go to the Wantilan Luau.

 CONS

Cons:
Some guests felt that the staff could do a better job of knowing the pertinent information to help them get where they needed to be. Also, for the money spent, a few felt that the rooms were a little smaller than some of the newer Universal Orlando Resorts. Another issue that is mentioned from time to time is the check-in process does not go as smooth as some would like.

Fun Things to Do

Just outside of the pool area is a beautiful lake with the iconic sea-plane floating across the bay. While you are not allowed in this water, the white sandy beaches are a great place to get away from the more exciting things going on at the resort. There is also a sand volleyball court located on one of the beaches. The arcade is fun when the weather is not the best or you just need to get out of the Florida heat for a bit.
