Universal Volcano Bay River Ride

It’s really amazing to think about taking your family to the Volcano Bay water park when visiting Universal in Orlando. Many people find that the Lazy River experience is the most fun for the whole family. What you might not know, is that there are two (2) Universal Volcano Bay River Rides to choose from.

River Rides at Volcano Bay

Each of these floating river rides at Volcano Bay are very different. For the typical, slow float on the water, you will want to head over to the Volcano Bay Lazy River Kopiko Wai. However, if a more exciting floating water adventure is required, the Volcano Bay Fearless River TeAwa could be a better fit.

The adventure begins on this fast-flowing lazy river that spans about 1,500 feet in length, the Universal Volcano Bay Fearless River TeAwa is about a 5-minute speedy float, family fun, zero-entry at two locations, tubes are not allowed and all riders must wear a life jacket, multiple lifeguards on watch

While both of these rivers at the Volcano Bay water park offer an amazing floating experience, there are quite a few differences between them. Speed, is the most notable difference but height and age requirements are something to consider as well. Lifeguards are posted in viewing distance at all times around both of these rivers and that in itself makes you feel a little safer for your kids as they are off on their own. Kopiko Wai Winding River:

  • Height: Under 42″ may not ride

  • Height: Kids under 48″ must be with an adult

So much fun in the Rivers at Volcano Bay

Water slides and Wave Pools are a blast but there is something about floating on a river at a Water Park. Having two (2) different experiences takes it to a whole new level. It is definitely worth having fun on the two Universal Volcano Bay River Ride experiences.
