Stay in Africa and Safari each Day
Thatch roof huts and African design make the Animal Kingdom Lodge a very unique addition to the Disney World Deluxe Resort line. Who doesn’t want to look out of their room, or sit out on a balcony watching the animals frolic on the savana? Many would agree the Animal Kingdom Lodge is their favorite. Not all rooms and Suites face the savanna so if this is what you are looking for, be sure to upgrade to one with a view. Two (2) large pools areas make up the vast water playground for adults and kids alike. You will also find a large water slide at each of the pools as well as a kids splash park at the Kidani Village Sumawati Springs Pool. You might think that you could walk from the Resort to the entrance of the Animal Kingdom Theme Park but there is not a way to get there unless you drive or take the Disney Bus Transportation. This is definitely a place to check out, even if you are not staying on the property.

The Wilderness Lodge at Disney World was developed to capture the beauty and imagination of the National Parks throughout the American landscape. Walking into the great hall of the check-in building, you cannot help but be in awe of the immense size of the structure. This wood, log-style building attracts visitors from all over, even those not staying at the Wilderness Lodge. Guests who do book at this resort rave about the luxurious, rustic accommodations and the cast members who are always looking to take care of any need you might have. The pool area is not as large as some of the other resorts but it does have a water slide. Across from the main pool, you can walk right beside the geyser and wait for it to erupt. Catch the boat down by the pier to take you to the Magic Kingdom or get on one of the Disney Buses. Unfortunately, the Wilderness lodge is not on the Monorail path. What a fantastic place to stay.
