Yacht Club Resort in Disney World

Prestigious and Elegant, the Disney Yacht Club Resort is designed to have the old-style charm of a distinguished New England Yacht Club. If you were to sail up the New England coast, you would see similar architecture used when building the Disney Yacht Club Resort. You almost expect to see a marina full of large yachts, and although you will find yourself on the banks of Crescent Lake, you will not find any yachts in the harbor. It is easy to see that the Yacht Club fits nicely as one of the Disney World Deluxe Resorts. As you walk into the lobby for the first time, you will see a giant globe positioned perfectly in the middle of the grand room to help show you along your nautical path. The Disney Yacht Club Resort stands out from the other Disney resorts because of the more Nautical Theme that it presents to its guests.

Rooms, Suites & Villas beside the water

You can be confident that the room you choose will make you feel as though you are staying at a large resort in New England by the Ocean. Filled with a nautical theme, the rooms are styled to give you a clean, fresh feel with white furniture and sprinkles of blue colors. Simple nuances in each room add to their appeal, like the Ship’s wheel that is carefully created as part of the bed’s headboard design and of course, Sailor Mickey will be watching over you as he leans up against the base of the light post in the room. Standard rooms come with space to sleep up to 5 guests and have views of the Gardens, Woods or Crescent Lake. Additional space can be added for larger groups by moving up to the two (2) bedroom suite sleeping, 6 guests. If you are a DVC member, there are not any Villas at the Disney Yacht Club but you can book at the sister property next door, the Disney Beach Club Resort.

Disney Yacht Club Reviews

 PROS

Pros:
If staying in one of the best Disney World Deluxe Resorts is what you are aiming for, the Yacht Club has not disappointed. The staff is always very attentive to our needs and renting a Cabana by the Pool made for a restful afternoon. We like to stay at either the Yacht Club or the Disney Beach Club because both of these resorts are within walking distance to Epcot and also close to Hollywood Studios. The kids loved Stormalong Bay water park with three (3) pools, a water slide and lazy river. Oh and if you are interested, the Yacht Club is one of the Pet Friendly Hotels in Disney World.

 CONS

Cons:
While the Disney Yacht Club is a beautiful resort a few guests complained about the cost of the parking. Self-parking and Valet have a nightly fee per vehicle. Restaurants are very good but expect to pay a premium when you eat at any of the Table Service dining. Others complained about some noise in the hallways during their stay but this was not a normal occurrence.
