Shuttle Service at the Yacht Club Disney Resort
Everything but the Monorail! Many guests think that if they stay at any of the Disney World Deluxe Resorts, they are automatically set to use the most iconic transportation at Disney World, the Monorail. That is, unfortunately, not the case. But, when you stay at the Disney Yacht Club Resort, you do have full access to the Buses, Water Taxi and you are even within walking distance to the World Showcase at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Hopping aboard the water taxi is much like a ride in itself. The kids seem to get all excited when they ride on the boats to your destination. The Gondola system is also nearby. Since you can walk to Epcot, you can almost say that the Gondola’s can be used as your transportation around Disney World as well.
Fun outside of Disney World?
Disney might be the main reason you came to Orlando Fl but did you know that there is a lot more to do? Heading a little North-West you will gain access to SeaWorld, and Universal Orlando with Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. Walking through the streets of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a wonderful treat and so lifelike that you will want to go again and again. These other locations are outside of the Disney Transportation system so you will need to arrange a way to get there. Here are a couple of other options:

You fastest mode of transportation to get to the World Showcase in Epcot is to walk out of the back doors of the Disney Yacht Club and head about 0.4 miles over the walkway to the back entrance. If you are up to a longer walk, you can also walk along the waterway to get you to Hollywood Studios.

Trust me, it is the most incredible, build-out of a location you have ever seen. The authentic buildings, streets, and shops will leave you in wonderment. As mentioned earlier, Disney transportation will not get you there so be sure to schedule a Mears Taxi or setup Uber. The Universal Orlando dropoff is about 13.9 miles away and takes about 25 minutes in regular traffic.
