Shuttle Buses

It is good to know that there are multiple Shuttle Bus Terminal located around the Disney Port Orleans Resort. The first one is visible as soon as you pull up to the front entrance since it is right in front of the Main Check-in Building, the Colonel's Cotton Mill. The other three are located around the outside area of the resort in front of the Magnolia Terrace, close to the Acadian House and the third at the edge of the Alligator Bayou. Booking a Preferred Room at the Port Orleans Riverside will ensure that you have a shorter distance to walk to one of these bus stops. The buses are a very efficient way of getting around to all of the Disney Theme Parks and Water Parks but there is another option if you want to get to Disney Springs.

Water Taxi

What fun it is to jump aboard the water taxi located behind the Check-in counter at the Disney Port Orleans Riverside Resort. The water taxi is free for all guests and will take you to the Port Orleans French Quarter and direct access to the Doubloon Lagoon Family Pool with Water Slide and Kids Splash Park. The water taxi continues from the French Quarter and takes you to Disney Springs where great shopping and dining awaits>

How do I get Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure from Port Orleans Riverside?

How can you visit Orlando without getting to see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure? The Harry Potter World has changed the way theme parks draw guests in. It is no longer just about the rides but it is about the adventure you get to go on and the immersion factor. Getting to the Universal Theme Parks is not difficult but it is not included with the Disney Transportation. You will need to have your own transportation to get to Universal Orlando. Options are available though even if you do not have your own vehicle you can schedule a Mears Taxi or setup Uber. The Universal Orlando dropoff is about 13.5 miles away and takes about 30 minutes in normal traffic.

Is it difficult to get to SeaWorld and Aquatica?
