Enjoy the Grandeur of the Disney Grand Floridian
Kids might wonder if they will have any fun at such a posh resort but believe me, there are plenty of fun things to keep them going. Consider getting a room that has a view of the Magic Kingdom Fireworks; that will get them going! Strolling out on the back patio builds excitement with the large Beach Pool in sight with water slides and kids splash park. You will notice the long, white sand beach up against the Seven Seas Lagoon with umbrella seating to shield you from the hot Florida sun. Off in the distance, you see guests having fun on motorboats in the lagoon. A day at the parks are fun but can be exhausting, thus so be sure to take in a Movie under the stars to get everyone settled down and relax for the night. It is always a good idea, when staying at the Disney Grand Floridian, to take a day away from the parks to enjoy the wonderful fun around the Resort.
Fun things to do at the Grand Floridian Resort
Arcade & Game Room
Located down the left hall of the main building at Disney's Grand Floridian, the Aracadia Gameroom is full of electronic games to get you out of the heat or bad weather.
Basketball Court
Over at the Senses Spa, a sports court is available to play a great outdoor sport like Basketball, Hopscotch, Four Square and more. Balls are available just outside of the court area for your enjoyment.
Jogging Trails
It doesn't get any better than taking a walk, jog or run on the 1.8-mile track that spans between the Grand Floridian and the Disney Polynesian Village Resort. Take in all the wonder of the Seven Seas Lagoon and rest at many fantastic spots.
Campfires
As the sun is going down over the Magic Kingdom, an amazing adventure to take with your family is to head over to the large fire pit and roast some marshmallows and make some smores together. You will be amazed at how your kids remember special moments like these.
Fishing
Setting out on the Seven Seas Lake to get some fishing in during your Walt Disney World vacation might not be the first thing you would expect at the Disney Grand Floridian but that is precisely what you have the opportunity to do. Head out on a fantastic guided fishing excursion and share the moment with your family or take some time to yourself.
Movies Under the Stars
Settle down with a Disney Movie under the Stars at the Grand Floridian and just take in the fun of simple family time. Memories are made from times like these.
Boat Rentals
Talk about making memories, take a boat on the Seven Seas Lagoon and see the Magic Kingdom and the Disney Deluxe Resorts in a whole new light. Get some great pictures and video that very few get from a different perspective. Head down to the marina at the Grand Floridian and take one out for a while.
