The first impression you get as you pull up to theDisney Yacht Club Resort is the casual elegance and style that takes you back to the late 1800’s when you would stay at one of the stately manors on the New England Coast. Walking through the french doors, you enter a world designed by Disney to captivate all of your senses and make this the most wonderful vacation stay you have ever taken. As you enter the main building you will see the style and grandeur of hardwood floors, elegant seating, and a very large globe on a pedestal to put in place the Nautical theme of the Yacht Club Resort. Strolling through the corridors, you will see shops and restaurants as well as many exits to outdoor sitting places to enjoy. Once outside, the floral arrangements along with the trees and shrubs add to the paradise that you have entered into. Venture along the path and you will find yourself at the Disney Yacht Club Resort Pool. Stormalong Bay is not only the largest pool at a Disney World Resort, but it also has enough fun features to be a water park. Multiple pools that act as lagoons to the different water areas, with a 230-foot long water slide, a sandy bottom pool, and even a circular lazy river, there is plenty for your kids to enjoy. This main pool has lifeguards on duty but the times change throughout the year so check with the resort to see when they will be on duty. Walk down the pier to the large lighthouse and take a water taxi to one of the nearby Disney theme parks. You also have access to the marina on Crescent lake where you can rent different water craft like pontoon boats or take out a sea raycer and have a real thrill. You will quickly notice that you are right beside the Disney Beach Club Resort. Being a sister property to the Disney Beach Club is a huge benefit as these two sister resorts share amenities like dining and the 3 quiet pools across the 2 properties. The adults might want to take some time and enjoy one of the outdoor hot tubs available. There is no shortage of things to do and explore while at the Disney Yacht Club.
