There are many different places to relax and splash around during your visit. You should also know that since the Dolphin and the Swan Resorts are Sisters, they also share the pools and water fun with all of the guests that visit. The largest Water Fun includes a play area complete with a long area covered with waterfalls that you can walk around underneath. On the backside of the pool is a nice, long, refreshing water slide that the kids will want to slide down over and over. If a more quiet, serene day is what you have planned, there are a total of 4 additional Quiet Pools around the 2 resorts to meet that need as well. For the smaller kids in the family, the kid's pool might be a better fit with shallow water so you do not have to have safety concerns. The lake is lined with white sandy beaches and is a great place for the parents to relax in one of the chairs on the beach while the kids play like they have taken a trip to the ocean. Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort
The Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel is a Florida inspired design and is one of the Deluxe level resorts built on the edge of Crescent Lake in Orlando. Walk out to the front of the main building and you will see a beautiful walkway bridge across Crescent Lake lined with magnificent landscaping and Palm trees that join this hotel to its sister property the Walt Disney World Swan Hotel. It is pretty easy to tell which property you are visiting by the large Dolphins or Swans perched high on top of the respective Hotels. As you look at the surroundings, you understand why this location is known for its elegance and prestige.
Not a Disney Resort?
By the name of it, you would think that the Dolphin Resort has to be a Disney Property. In fact, you will notice that right beside this Hotel, you have access to some of the great resort Disney offers their guests like the Boardwalk Inn the Yacht Club and the Beach Club. All of these properties are located in the same area and surround the same body of water that allows the Water Taxis to travel from each of the Resorts directly to Epcot. Incredibly enough, even though the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is not run by Disney, it still has access to most of the perks that Disney property guests receive. This is a very positive feature when trying to decide where to stay when visiting the Orlando Fl area.
Dolphin Rooms and Suites
There are many different rooms and suites available at Dolphin Resort in Disney World but part of the fun in picking the right accommodations is also getting the view that you are interested in. The rooms at the Dolphin Resort have a more contemporary design and feel to them with clean lines that add a level of sophistication. Select one of the more standard style rooms or upgrade to one of the more luxurious Suite options. It doesn't matter what you decide on, they are all very impressive accommodations. Pros:
Location, Location, Location! This is a huge benefit when staying at the Disney World Dolphin Resort. Easily walk to Disney Hollywood Studios or Epcot, or hop on the water taxi to get you to either of these locations. It was fun walking over to Epcot and taking the Disney Skyliner to Hollywood Studios. The pools is amazing and the kids had a great time on the water slide.
Cons:
While very nice, there are some things that could be better for sure. Make sure you add up all of the fees you will pay because the rate that you get when booking does not include the parking fee or the resort fee. This will bump up your nightly stay nicely. Other guests have mentioned that the property could use some TLC and a little better cleaning process.

Fun Things to Do
Come prepared to have a great time at the Walt Disney Dolphin Resort. You will want to schedule in some time to enjoy all that the resort has to offer as well as visiting all of the locations that Orlando has to offer. The Dolphin Hotel is located near Disney’s Epcot Center and you can take a water taxi directly to the port entry in the middle of the complex. You also have the Hollywood Studios Park nearby so will you will want to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all of the sights of the parks around you. Be prepared to have fun and plan your days wisely. There is more to do than you can possibly get in.
Pets
Pets are not allowed at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort but ff you are interested in bringing your dog with you to Disney World, consider checking out the nearby Disney Yacht Club Resort because it allows pets. Also, take a look at all of the Pet-Friendly Hotels in Disney World if you are interested in bringing your pet with you. Service animals are welcome.
Resort Fees
