Westgate Town Center Resort features Shipwreck Island Water Park, a tropical oasis that promises a splashing good time for all who enter. So take a plunge down the Pirate’s Plunge slide, the most exhilarating slide in the park (in my opinion). What is really exciting about the Shipwreck Island Water Park is that it is on two levels. Westgate Lakes is huge, and bike riding is a great way to see it all.

We tried Pulled Pork, Brisket, Burgers, and Fried Chicken. All these meals tasted great, and we had more than we could eat. For something a little simpler, there’s the family-friendly Joe’s Marketplace & Deli, offering a range of deli sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go options.

Cordovano Joe’s Authentic New York Style Pizza serves up delicious, hand-tossed pizzas with an array of toppings. The Sid’s Bistro also offers a casual setting for grabbing a quick bite or enjoying a cup of coffee. Adding to the dining options, the Westgate Town Center also has several more high-end locations to dine. We tested both the Los Amigos Mexican Grill and the Villa Italiano Chophouse. Let me tell you, both of these restaurants were fantastic and worth giving a try.

Westgate Lakes Resort offers exciting water sports like Paddle Boats and Fishing. Guests can rent Paddle Boats to explore Big Sand Lake and take in the scenic surroundings’ tranquility. The Paddle Boats are more typical of what you would see at other resorts and do not have the Swan Theme like the ones at the Westgate Town Center Resort. Be prepared for a fun adventure, as Big Sand Lake is a large area, and it takes some time to get around the spaces allowed. Additionally, fishing enthusiasts can cast their lines and try their luck at catching mixed fish species in the Resort’s well-stocked lake.
Westgate Town Center Resort
Westgate Town Center Resort allows guests to venture on a delightful paddle boating experience. Featuring a peaceful lake where guests can rent Swan-themed paddle boats and leisurely explore the calm waters at their own pace. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors, soak up the sunshine, and spend quality time with someone you love. Paddle boating offers a leisurely and scenic experience amidst the Resort’s picturesque surroundings. The Swan Boats are located on Swan Lake, across from the Shipwreck Island Water Park. While this lake is nowhere near as large as Big Sand Lake at the Westgate Lakes Resort, the calm waters make pedaling easy to make your way around the water. The views are also amazing, showing you a completely different vantage point of the Town Center Resort.
Taking a boat out on the water is a fun experience that you can find at both the Westgate Town Center Resort and Westgate Lakes Resort. These resorts provide opportunities to enjoy the water and create memorable moments.
Pool Paradise
A vacation in sunny Florida is only complete while enjoying the refreshing waters of a pool. Westgate Town Center Resort and Westgate Lakes Resort deliver impressive pool areas for guests desiring relaxation, fun, and aquatic enjoyment. Let’s dive into the pool offerings at each Resort. Pools at both of these resorts are free for guests to use. This is unlike the water parks that are complimentary for owners but are an additional fee for guests.
Westgate Lakes Resort
At Westgate Lakes Resort, guests can indulge in seven outdoor pools across its vast grounds. While there are plenty of pools around, we found the Pelicans Landing Pool near the far end of the Resort to be one of our favorites. Our experience was a more quiet location with stunning views of Big Sand Lake. It is also surrounded by lush landscaping and provides a serene and inviting atmosphere. If a more exciting pool is what you are looking for, the Citrus Pool stays hopping all day long. This is also the pool outside of the Treasure Cove Water Park. Whirlpool spas are also available for soothing hydrotherapy at most outdoor heated pools.
Westgate Town Center Resort
Westgate Town Center Resort takes pride in providing guests with a staggering 14 pools throughout the property. Having this hefty number of pools ensures plenty of options for a refreshing dip. In addition, many pools have kiddie pools and hot tubs for adults to enjoy. Our favorite pool at the Town Center would have to be the Affinity Pool on the shores of Swan Lake overlooking the Shipwreck Island Water Park.

On the other hand, Westgate Lakes Resort provides a selection of seven outdoor pools across its expansive grounds. So whether you prefer the abundant options at Westgate Town Center Resort or the serene setting of the main pool at Westgate Lakes Resort, both destinations offer enticing pool areas that improve your vacation adventure.
