Unlike the All-Star Resorts that only have two (2) pools each, a stay at the Disney Pop Century gives you three (3) large swimming pools to spread out on all sides of the property. Unfortunately, there are not any Water Slides or Lazy Rivers at any of the Disney Value Resorts. Since you will be spending most of your time at the parks during your stay, this is probably not a big deal but it is nice to know this going in so no one is let down when you get there. The largest swimming pool is located right behind the main building and is situated between the rooms in the 1960's theme. The other 2 pools are located to the left and right sections of the resort and are smaller in size but also will give you a quieter setting to enjoy a relaxing day if you would like. Go back in time with your family and enjoy the fun of the many different centuries at the Pop Century Resort at Disney World. As the name implies, each section of Disney's Pop Century Resort is broken up into 10-year spans showcasing iconic items and phrases used during each period. The colors mixed in are vibrant and appealing and would have been seen during each era. What a neat concept to come out of the mind of the Disney Imagineers. Since it is a true Disney resort, stay on the lookout for the famous hidden Mickey's displayed around the grounds as well as the larger than life Disney Characters are shown the way they would have looked during each time period. The history of Disney has never been so much fun.
Staying at Disney on a Budget
Watching what you spend when you decide to stay at Disney World is a normal process for just about anyone. It is important to know where you can save some of that money when you travel to this Magical Place. Disney World Value Resorts allow you to keep some of that hard earned cash in your pocket but still enjoy the experience Disney wants you to have. As you walk around the Pop Century Resort, notice that Disney is attentive to everything you are viewing. Special displays of items from each century that were either used or created are displayed to generate a sense of knowing where you are at all times. Four (4) main sections cover a span of five (5) Centuries or 50 years. You will want to venture off and visit each one of these locations on the grounds while you are there just to see all of the massive items that have been created for each one. More than likely, this is going to be a nostalgic walk through the ages that adults remember the most but think about all of the stories you will be able to tell as you walk through these different themed areas with your kids.
Rooms and Suites
Looking to stay in a Family Suite? If so, you will not find any suites at the Disney Pop Century Resort. All of the rooms are pretty much the same style, occupying about 260 square feet each. The rooms are configured very similarly to a standard hotel room with a configuration of One (1) King or One (1) Queen Bed and a Queen Table Bed. All of the rooms also have a single bathroom but with a dual-space configuration. The sink is in one space while the toilet and tub/shower unit occupy another room with a door separating the two. Accommodations at the Pop Century Resort allow for up to 4 people in each room. Need a little more space to spread out or you just have a larger family? Consider looking at the Suite alternatives at the Value resorts that offer them. If a suite is what you need, take a look at either the Art of Animation Resort or the All Star Music Resort.

Pros:
Most of the people who visit the Disney Pop Century Resort experience a positive feeling. Starting with the Magical Express from the Airport, the simplicity of transportation at Disney World is the best we have seen. Continued with the Shuttle service taking the family to all of the Theme Parks and this was a great experience from beginning to end. Using the online app for check-in was a breeze and the magic bands opening the doors was fun and exciting. The room was comfortable, and the food court had many options for us and the kids. The pools were large, and there was plenty of seating to relax while the kids played.
Cons:
The Pop Century Resort is Huge, and while this usually is a great thing, when walking to the Food Court or Buses to get to the Parks, it can get tiring. Because of this, I would probably stay in one of the Preferred rooms that keep you closer to the entrance next time. The 1960's area would be nice, but it could be a little louder right around the family pool. Some guests did not care for the food as much and felt that it was well overpriced. There is a refrigerator in the room, but it is pretty small.

Fun Things to Do
The Pools at Pop Century are the biggest event at the Resort but there are other things to do as well. Movies under the stars offers a place for your family to relax while watching a Disney film under the stars of Orlando. A Playground can be found at the 70’s section and a huge arcade is in the Classic Hall.
Pets
Pets are not allowed at the Disney Pop Century Resort but Service animals are welcome.
Resort Fees
Disney does not have any additional Resort Fees at the Pop Century.
Parking
Self-Parking is available but there is an additional nightly fee for parking your vehicle. Valet parking is not an option at the Pop Century Resort.
Fitness Center
There is not a Fitness Center at this or any other Disney Value Resorts
Spa Treatments
You will not find a Spa at the Pop Century Resort
Dining
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are served at the Everything POP Shopping & Dining area. Multiple quick service areas provide a variety of food and drink items to meet the desires of everyone in your group. The Petals Pool Bar is located by the Hippy Dippy pool with your favorite adult beverage. Pizza Delivery can be ordered and delivered to your room.
