Universal Orlando has similar offerings, but only one resort includes a water slide and lazy river: Cabana Bay Beach Resort. If you leave the Disney World and Universal properties, you’ll find numerous other resorts with these amenities, many of which could be classified as full water park hotels in Orlando.

For budget-friendly options, look into Fantasy World Resort or Holiday Inn Orange Lake. Additionally, Westgate Resorts is worth mentioning. Both Westgate Lakes and Westgate Town Center feature full water parks. We have explored every Universal Orlando Hotel and can tell you many have water slides. One of our favorite resorts at Universal Orlando would have to be the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. When we added this FAQ post, it was the ONLY Universal Hotel with a water slide and lazy river. The pools are very expansive, and one of the areas has seating on the sand, making it feel more like a beach. Sapphire Falls is another great resort with a water slide and a unique pool with a zero-entry area in the middle of the pool that slopes to deeper water on each side. The hotel that stands out above them all would have to be the slide at the Hard Rock Hotel. Once you splash down in the water, you will still hear the music playing. The Hard Rock Pool has underwater speakers, so you hear the sound above and below the surface. You must experience this to understand how cool it really is.

The Disney Deluxe and Disney Moderate Resorts have Water Slides and amazing themed pool areas. We have been to every Disney Resort and checked out all the pools. Some of our favorites would be the Disney Port Orleans Riverside with its 3.5-acre Ol’ Man Island swimming hole with a 95-foot long water slide and the Disney Beach Club Resort with the longest waterslide in a Disney Resort located at Stormalong Bay. We also love the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge which has a 67-foot long water slide at the Uzima Springs pool and a 128-foot long water slide at the Samawati Springs Pool. It might come as a surprise, but at this time, none of the Disney Value Resorts have a water slide. They have amazing pools and theming that are perfect for the little ones to enjoy. Many families love the Value Resorts and wouldn’t stay anywhere else know that they do not have water slides.

Of course! The Orlando area is huge, with hotels and resorts to fit everyone’s pocketbook. There are plenty of budget-friendly hotels to meet your needs when you visit Disney or Universal. One hotel you might consider is the CoCo Key Hotel and Water Park. They are the only hotel in the area with a covered area for a section of the water park. This used to be the Nickelodeon Resort in Orlando, but the Holiday Inn purchased it and left the main water park with plenty of water slide fun for the kids to enjoy.
