Universal Endless Summer Resort
When you visit the Universal Endless Summer Resort, the first thing you need to know is that this Resort offers two unique experiences to choose from. Made up of the Surfside Inn and Suites and the Dockside Inn and Suites, you get to choose from two (2) distinct but similar stays. The Surfside Inn and Suites is the smaller of the two hotels and opened on June 27, 2019. The Dockside Inn and Suites are much larger and opened on March 17th, 2021.
Universal Value Resort
Up until the opening of the Universal Endless Summer Resort, the Cabana Bay Beach Resort was the least expensive options in the Universal Resort line of hotels. While the Cabana Bay Resort is a Prime Value Resort, the Universal Endless Summer is the first true Value Resort from Universal. But, I would not let the word “VALUE” concern you at all. You still get amazing benefits when staying at either one of the Hotels that make up the Endless Summer Resort.
Standard Rooms
It does not matter if you choose to stay at the Surfside Inn Standard Rooms or the Dockside Inn Standard Rooms. The Standard Rooms at both of these hotels have the same square feet and can accommodate the same number of guests. Each Standard Room has 313 Square Feet of Space, two (2) queen beds and can sleep up to four (4) guests.
Two-Bedroom Suites
For added space, the 2 Bedroom Suite at the Surfside Inn and the 2 Bedroom Suite at the Dockside Inn have an additional bedroom for privacy and sleep up to 6 guests. Each of the 2 Bedroom Suites also have a small kitchenette area with picnic table, small refrigerator, sink, counter and coffee maker.
Where is the Endless Summer Resort Located?
The Endless Summer Resort is located on the opposite side of Interstate-4 from Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, and the Volcano Bay Water Park.
Looking at this Bing Map, you see that the Universal Endless Summer Resort is still in a prime location to the Universal Parks. While there is not a water taxi system to get you to City Walk, the Shuttle Bus service, included with your stay, is a very efficient way of getting to the Universal Parks.
Shuttle Service to the Universal Parks
The Endless Summer Universal Value Resort offers amazing Shuttle Bus Service for guests. The Shuttles are very efficient and normally run on about a 15 minute schedule. The Water Taxi is not available to the Endless Summer Resort because there is not a waterway connected to this area.
Which is Larger?
Whether you look at Universal’s Endless Summer Resort from a Map or just drive down Universal Blvd, it is easy to see that the Dockside Inn and Suites is much larger than the Surfside Inn and Suites. Comparing the number of rooms is an easy way to see which is larger. The Surfside Inn and Suites has a total of 750 rooms and the Dockside Inn and Suites has 2,050 guest rooms. Size does not necessarily make one better than the other. Some guests like the feel of the smaller hotel while others like the largest they can find.
Fun things to do at the Endless Summer Resort
It does not matter which Hotel you choose, if you book the Surfside or Dockside Inn & Suites, they share amenities and recreation. This means that you can go from pool to pool and enjoy all of the fun across all of the Endless Summer Resort.

Places to Eat
Not only is the Recreation and Pools shared between the Dockside Inn and Surfside Inn, you can also hang out at the two (2) counter service, food courts and the various bars.
