Exciting Slides and Lazy Rivers for the Whole Family

How to Choose the Perfect Family Hotel with Water Slides in Orlando

When searching for the suitable Orlando Hotel in Orlando with water slides for your family, it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With a little guidance, it can actually be quite fun! Here are some friendly tips to help you narrow down your options and create unforgettable memories:

  • Age-Appropriate Amenities: When choosing a hotel, consider the age of your children. Some hotels feature large water slides, while others offer kids’ splash parks with smaller slides. If you have children in both age groups, it’s best to find a hotel that provides a combination of large and small slides to accommodate everyone.
  • Safety Features: This is very important when you have smaller kids. Of course, you will be watching over them while they play in and around the water but it is always nice to have a second set of eye to help out. When safety is of utmost importance, consider hotels with lifeguards, clearly posted safety rules, and well-maintained water attractions.
  • Additional Water Features: Waterslides are great but having more water park activities is better. Lazy rivers are always a great addition and are a fun adventure for all ages. Smaller children and older adults will appreciate zero-entry access into pools, and the little ones will love having their own splash park.
  • Proximity to Attractions: If you are visiting Orlando with your family, its a good chance you will visit Disney World, Universal, or SeaWorld. Keeping this in mind, it is important to choose a hotel that’s conveniently located near the attractions you plan to visit. If you stay at a Disney Resort, you get the benefits of Complementary transportation but this is not the case at all nearby hotels. Be sure to check with the hotel to see if they have a shuttle service to the parks you want to visit. It just makes the stay easier.
  • Family-Friendly Perks: Saving money is huge on a vacation to Orlando. Look for extras at the hotels you are considering, like free meals for kids, on-site restaurants, or organized activities. Some hotels even have character meet-and-greet that add a whole new level of fun.
  • Budget Considerations: Whether you’re looking for a luxury resort or a budget-friendly option, Orlando has something for every price range. Make sure the hotel’s amenities align with your family’s needs and have a great trip to Orlando.

When you keep these tips in mind while searching for your next stay, it will help to guide you to the perfect family-friendly hotel with water slides in Orlando. Doing so will help to ensure that your vacation is as memorable as possible.

The Loews Sapphire Falls Resort is part of the Universal Resorts in Orlando and is an amazing tropical escape. We loved our stay here and enjoyed the relaxed island vibe. We found many exciting activities at the resort that our whole family enjoyed. The main attraction is its expansive and very unique pool area. What makes it different is the walkway, right in the middle of the pool, gently slopes to deeper water on both sides.

Of course, we also liked having a water slide that splashed down in a private area of the pool so as not to affect anyone else enjoying the quiet areas around the pool. Family Friendly Hotels with Water Slides in Orlando FAQ

Are there family-friendly budget hotels in Orlando with water slides?

If you’re planning a trip to Orlando and want to keep an eye on your budget, you’ll be happy to know some great hotels offer fun water slides! But if you’re really looking to save some cash, it’s worth considering some more affordable options that don’t have that splashy feature. Even without a water slide, you can find some fantastic places that still provide excellent value and family-friendly amenities. Here are a few options that might just be what you are looking for.

  • CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort: The CoCo Key Hotel features a 54,000-square-foot water park with 14 water slides, including smaller slides for younger children. It is also the only water park to be partially under roof. This resort is closer to Universal but just a short drive to Disney, right off of I-4.
  • Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites – Waterpark: This all-suite resort combines spacious accommodations with an exciting water park featuring multiple slides, a lazy river, and splash zones. The Holiday Inn Resort Waterpark used to be the Nickelodeon resort in Orlando. It is close to Disney, and although the Nick colors are gone, the fun attractions still remain.
  • FantasyWorld Resort: If you are looking for accommodations with fully equipped kitchens, the FantasyWorld Resort Orlando might be one to look at. On top of having a larger space they also have a water park with water slides, a lazy river, and a splash pad for younger children.

These budget-friendly hotels combine affordability with fun-filled water amenities, ensuring families get the best of both worlds for their Orlando vacation.

Do Disney hotels in Orlando offer water slides suitable for kids?

In my opinion, you can’t get more family-friendly than staying at a Disney Resort in Orlando. But, are there any Disney Hotels with Water Slide? Let’s look closer at which Disney hotels in Orlando feature water slides to provide additional fun around the pool. It is worth noting that you will not find water slides at any of the Value Resorts. However, most of the Moderate and Deluxe Resorts offer exactly what you are looking for. Here are some to consider:

  • Disney’s Port Orleans Resort: The Port Orleans Resort is one of our favorite places to stay in Disney World. Disney actually has two resorts in this location, Riverside and the French Quarter. When you stay at one, you can access the water park features at both, and it is good to understand the differences. When you stay at the Port Orleans Riverside, you have a 95-foot-long water slide at Ol’ Man Island, a 3.5-acre pool complex surrounded by lush landscaping. On the other hand, smaller kids will love the French Quarter side with a large pool area complete with a slide that forms a huge serpent and a kid’s splash area with sprinkling fountains, many places to climb, and smaller slides for toddlers.
  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort: You can’t beat the water park shared by the Disney Beach Club and Disney Yacht Club resort. Stormalong Bay is a three-acre water play area with a sandy-bottom pool and the longest water slide at any Disney property. You have to walk out of the main pool area, where there is a lazy river and three pools, and head over to the shipwreck to start your sliding journey. Most of the slide is enclosed and opens up at the end where you splash down. It is seriously the coolest slide at Disney.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: Who wouldn’t want to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? Having animals roaming on the Savana that you can see from your balcony (if you have a savanna view) is such a great time. If you book this resort at Disney, trust me, your kids will never forget, and just think of the memories you will make. But there is more, a lot more; the Animal Kindom Resort features the Uzima Springs Pool with a 67-foot-long water slide and the Samawati Springs Pool with a 128-foot-long slide. There is even a unique-looking kids’ splash area with bubbling fountains and sprinklers.
  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: We were wowed by the landscaping and overall beauty when we stayed there. I remember the first time we walked up to The Lost City of Cibola Pool and stared at the Mayan pyramid in the pool area. It is stunning, and finding that a 123-foot-long water slide descends from the pyramid to the main pool was a real treat.
  • Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort: I would have to say that Disney’s Polynesian Resort is one of the most iconic and well-known properties. On top of the Hawaiian theme, there is so much to do, including the water fun at The Lava Pool, which includes a 142-foot-long water slide that winds through a towering volcano to the splash-down area in the main pool. There is also a large kids’ splash park beside the main pool with fun activities for your little ones. Oh, and don’t forget to take a stroll to the beach to see the Castle at the Magic Kingdom. What a great place to stay!

Disney resorts provide unique water slides and features designed to excite family members of all ages. In addition to water fun, staying at a Disney property includes perks like complimentary transportation to Disney’s parks, early theme park entry, and character-themed activities that add to the magic. If you want to learn more, check out all of the Disney Moderate and Deluxe Resorts. Most of them have a water slide and multiple pools. None of the Disney Value Resorts have a water slide or lazy river.

On top of bike riding, paddle-boat rides in the lake, and miniature golf, you also have access to a full water park. Do Orlando hotels with water slides provide family suites?

Yes, many Orlando hotels with water slides also offer spacious family suites, making them ideal for families of all sizes. Here are some top options to consider:

  • Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark: The Holiday Inn Resort Orlando Suites Waterpark Resort is a family favorite, with suites designed to keep the whole family comfortable. This used to be the Nickelodeon Resort and has since been changed to a new color theme by the Holiday Inn. Still, each suite includes separate sleeping areas for kids and parents, plus a small kitchenette, perfect for making snacks between waterpark adventures. As a huge bonus, the onsite waterpark features multiple slides, a lazy river, and a splash zone.
  • Westgate Resorts (Lakes and Town Center): Known for their multi-bedroom villas, Westgate Resorts provides ample space for larger families. We have visited all of the Westgate Resorts, and having a villa with a full kitchen, living room, and dining area makes it feel more like home. The Westgate Lakes and Westgate Town Center locations have full waterparks with slides, lazy rivers, and splash pads. I will tell you, the water parks at these locations are fantastic.
  • Reunion Resort & Golf Club: Reunion offers luxurious multi-bedroom villas and vacation homes that are perfect for larger families or groups traveling together. You can also stay at the Reunion Grande Hotel , which is close to all of the onsite amenities. With multiple pools, water slides, and a lazy river, this resort ensures everyone in the family has something to enjoy. One thing to be aware of with the Reunion Resort is if you are booking a villa or home through a third party, be sure you have access to the water park. Not all rentals have this as an option.
  • FantasyWorld Resort: Townhome-style accommodations with two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, and washers/dryers make FantasyWorld a good choice for families saving money. It’s a great choice for more space and convenience while enjoying the water slides, lazy river, and splash pad.
  • Loews Sapphire Falls Resort: We loved the Sapphire Falls Resort . It was so nice being able to hop on the water taxi and head to the Universal theme parks. The family-friendly suites have plenty of space and up-to-date amenities. The pool area has a tropical feel and includes a water slide and interactive play areas. We really enjoyed ordering food and drinks by the pool and making a day with the family at the water’s edge.
  • Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center: It’s hard to beat the Gaylord Palms Resort with its more luxurious, family-friendly accommodations. The large suites have plenty of room to spread out, and the family does not feel cramped in these spaces. When you take in the water park features seven water slides, a lazy river, and interactive play areas for the kids, it is a great choice for families seeking a mix of comfort and fun.
